FoxyTunes

If you have the juice to listen to music while you browse the web, and if you use Firefox, I recommend the FoxyTunes Firefox add-on.

It’s very cool.  As well as displaying a list of easy-access controls in the bottom status bar of Firefox for controlling your choice of media players, many other nifty tools are included.  For instance, you can easily search for lyrics or related videos for whatever song is currently playing.  Plenty of other searches are made available as well.

I’ve also been trying out the Tab Scope Firefox add-on:  pretty cool as well.  Similar to SeaMonkey and, I believe, Opera, the add-on allows you to see a pop-up of the web pages underneath tabs that are in the background.  A right click on the tab will enlarge the pop-up; you can even scroll the page within the pop-up (up and down only, unfortunately) or click on links appearing in the pop-up, or even refresh the view.  The normal forward and backward buttons appear as well, which means you can go back a page within the pop-up or forward a page under that tab without actually having to leave the page you are currently viewing.
