The Passion of Mel Gibson

Be sure to check out Dreaming 5GW for more entries related to the fifth generation of warfare (5GW).

Many of these posts have been cross-posted there.

The New York Daily News has the scoop:
According to the incident report obtained by TMZ.com, the Road Warrior embarked on a belligerent, anti-Semitic outburst when he realized he had been busted [for drunk driving].

“F——-g Jews. The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world,” Mee’s report quotes him as saying.

“Are you a Jew?” Gibson asked the deputy, according to the report.

Meanwhile, Dan Brown, the author of The Davinci Code, has acquired evidence that, he says, proves Mel Gibson may be involved in the conspiracy.  As yet, Brown has only released one piece of evidence to support his theory, a sketched note written on post-production material from Gibson’s The Passion of the Christ, which he claims is only one of many clues delivered to him by an anonymous source who worked on the set:

Those familiar with Passion will recognized the character of Satan (played by
Rosalinda Celentano).

Other sources near to the actor scoff at any suggestion of a connection between Gibson and the controversial conspiracy theories proposed by Dan Brown.  A close friend of the actor, who wishes to remain anonymous, has said, “Really, at most this ‘evidence’ merely shows how much Mel hates the Jews.  But he’s a good Christian and he knows that Satan has no religious affiliation, and, anyway, how could this ‘evidence’ prove any kind of Christian cover-up?”

Dan Brown’s agent thinks otherwise.  “Look, Gibson’s Passion — death, resurrection, and so forth — could not have actually occurred if Jesus did not die upon that cross.  That movie [Passion of the Christ] is merely one more piece in the cover-up, an effort to keep up the illusion of Jesus — y’know, the prevailing theory — by accentuating the false historical account.  And what these notes on the photo of Satan show, is that Gibson’s effort to cover up the true account of Jesus is really an attack on the Jews whom he thinks would gladly agree…with the Muslims, that Jesus was not the Son of God.

“Satan-the-deceiver is analogous, in Gibson’s mind, to the Jewish and Muslim deception that ‘Jesus was not God.’ For some reason, he cannot see that his own deception via Passion may be quite Satanic…”

Whatever the truth of these assertions, a potentially more devastating revelation since Gibson’s arrest has surfaced.  A passer-by who witnessed the actor’s arrest caught sight of a slip of white paper falling from Gibson’s vehicle as Gibson stepped out of the vehicle.  First fearing exposure, the passer-by — who nonetheless wishes to remain anonymous — became increasingly troubled by what was contained on the accidental litter and decided to present the paper to authorities:  a diagram of the Middle East:

The little country shaded in green is Lebanon, where current strife is consuming the world’s attention.

Independent analysis of the diagram reveals that  the heading is in the same script found on Dan Brown’s purported evidence.

Why exactly Mel Gibson would be traveling with such a diagram remains unclear.  Colonel Nathan Pitmeyer, a former Pentagon Middle East specialist and now an independent defense consultant, believes that the diagram is merely an example of the low-grade obsession now wracking the country.

“Anyone can create fantasy scenarios rather easily on their home computers, and this [diagram’s] suggestion of possible future military strikes in the Middle East appears to be one such rather silly prognostication.  Perhaps Gibson has been unable to come to grips with what is happening in the Middle East and, like many Americans — particularly, as we often see on the Blogosphere nowadays — has attempted to gain a better understanding of what the future holds for that troubled region.  But this diagram is a rather immature prognostication.  Where, for instance, is the U.S. in the scenario?  Mysteriously, Gibson overlooked one major player in the Middle East.”

Others — whom Colonel Pitmeyer has dismissed recently in a bevy of articles published in respectable publications — think otherwise.  Blogger Donny Brook, writing in his blog Blech!, believes Gibson may be involved in what he has called “fifth-generation warfare”:

Fifth Generation Warfare will be run entirely in secret.  For instance, a network of operatives will first attempt to gain influence in a variety of professions — from education and government institutions, to militaries and militias, and even within the media — and then work to subtly shape paradigms in order to effect great changes in the world.  Proxy warfare will take on an entirely new aspect: unlike such warfare during the Cold War, no one will realize who are the forces behind the forces.  Combatants will believe they fight for themselves when in actuality they have been influenced to fight their foes.

Mel Gibson may well be such a 5GW operative….planning, along with others, great changes within the Middle East and even across the globe.    Is he, along with others, attempting to add fuel to the minor bush fire now taking the Middle East, for some ulterior goal?   I.e., if [Dan] Brown’s assertions are accurate, perhaps Armageddon must come as predicted in the Bible in order for the [‘Davinci Code’] deception to be maintained.  Alpha and Omega, Death/Resurrection and Return.

What’s unclear, however, is who would stand to gain from a more Total War in the Middle East than we have ever witnessed.  Alas, that’s the problem with trying to isolate fifth-generation warfare maneuvers and combatants.  By definition.
Another blogger, B’eelz Eb-ub, writing from Jerusalem in his blog Where’s Messiah?, thinks such analysis is frivolous:

Look, by their own definitions, so-called fifth-generation warfare theorists would have to admit that Gibson could be a pawn of true operators — an easy pawn, since he already hates Jews.  Or else, all this talk about a famous drunkard is merely conspiracy theory, meant to distract us from the true hidden actors.

So I don’t buy it.

What we are doing in Lebanon is fighting a 4GW foe — a fourth-generation warfare opponent.  Eye for eye.  Gibson is just a lost soul on the highway to hell (to mix metaphors!)  Let’s get over his arrest and address the real issues destabilizing the region.  Islamists have to be made to accept the truth of Zion: we are God’s Chosen.  So the Islamists have already lost; they just don’t know it yet, and that’s the problem.
In any case, the debate is sure to continue, while Mel Gibson tries to resurrect his career.
